Downtime/Instability

Currently a number of services on DirectAdmin servers are unavailable or not working correctly.

This was caused by the latest DirectAdmin update and we are in the process of restoring everything sequentially.

Regards,
Richard Mann
Head of UDL Support

EDIT: Apache, BIND, Mail, FTP and SSH should all now be working again. MySQL will be operational shortly.

EDIT: Directadmin, named and MySQL are confirmed working at 13:04 Thu, 13 Nov. All systems are now running.

For people who want to know why it went down, it was because of permission errors on the files which caused Directadmin to unable to start the service. We have written a script which can change all these back incase this happens again. Also, this script will be put onto the public internet incase someone else if having a problem with Directadmin.

Regards,
Matthew Ellis
Director and Co-Owner of UDL

Named was restarted at just about the time you posted your comment and sadly BIND takes a little time to reload all the domain records.

However, all systems are running perfectly, all been backed up so no more problems from here on.
